Plantstop.us is a U.S.-based ornamental plant importer and retailer specializing in live plants sourced from Indonesia.

We offer two shipping options: Ready in USA plants, which are already located in the United States, and Fresh Import plants, which are imported from Indonesia through our scheduled air cargo shipments.

1. Shipping Coverage

At this time, we ship live ornamental plants to U.S. addresses only.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that live plant shipments are permitted under applicable state and local regulations at their delivery address.

2. Shipping Options & Timeline

a. Ready in USA

Ready in USA plants are already located at our U.S. facility and do not require international import processing.

  • Orders are typically processed and shipped within 3–5 business days after purchase.

  • Regular shipping days are Monday through Thursday.

  • Orders are shipped using USPS or UPS, depending on the destination and selected shipping service.

b. Fresh Import

Fresh Import plants are sourced from Indonesia and shipped to the United States through our scheduled air cargo shipments.

  • Import shipments are typically scheduled twice per month.

  • The current import schedule and estimated departure dates are displayed on our website and/or during checkout.

  • Plants are shipped from Indonesia by air cargo and undergo the required import and inspection procedures before being released to our U.S. facility.

  • After arrival and clearance, plants are transferred to our facility for inspection, sorting, and repacking.

  • Please allow approximately 3–5 business days after arrival at our facility for this process before domestic shipment.

  • Final delivery to the customer is made using USPS or UPS.

  • We generally do not dispatch live plants for domestic delivery from Friday through Sunday to reduce the risk of plants remaining in carrier facilities over the weekend.

Import and delivery dates are estimates and may change due to customs or USDA inspections, flight schedules, weather, holidays, carrier delays, or other circumstances outside our control.

3. Shipping Costs

Ready in USA

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on the order, destination, and available shipping service.

Fresh Import

Fresh Import orders are charged a flat shipping rate of $50 per order, regardless of the number of plants included in the order, unless otherwise stated at checkout.

This shipping fee covers the transportation process from our import operation through final domestic shipment to the customer's U.S. address.

4. Import Documentation

For Fresh Import orders, Plantstop.us handles the standard import process and required documentation associated with bringing the plants into the United States through our scheduled shipments.

Customers generally do not need to arrange their own phytosanitary certificate, customs broker, or standard import documentation for orders processed through our regular Fresh Import service.

However, customers remain responsible for complying with any specific state, local, or destination requirements that may apply to receiving live plants.

5. Fresh Import Processing

Before and during export from Indonesia, Fresh Import plants may undergo several preparation and compliance procedures, including:

  • Plant preparation and inspection

  • Required laboratory testing, when applicable

  • Phytosanitary inspection and certification

  • Export documentation

  • Secure packing for international transportation

  • Air cargo transportation

  • U.S. import inspection and clearance

Processing times may vary depending on inspection schedules, regulatory requirements, holidays, flight schedules, weather conditions, and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

6. Shipping Origin

  • Ready in USA: Shipped domestically from our U.S. facility.

  • Fresh Import: Plants originate from Indonesia and are imported to the United States through our scheduled shipments before being forwarded domestically to the customer's address.

7. Shipping Carriers

Depending on the type of order and destination, we may use:

  • Ready in USA: USPS or UPS

  • Fresh Import: Air cargo for international transportation, followed by USPS or UPS for final domestic delivery

Carrier selection may vary depending on destination, weather conditions, service availability, and other shipping considerations.

8. Order Tracking

Domestic tracking information will be provided once your order has been packed and a shipping label has been created for final delivery.

For Fresh Import orders, domestic tracking may not become available until the plants have arrived in the United States, completed the necessary import process, and are prepared for final shipment.

9. Packing Method

Because we ship live plants, packing methods may vary depending on the plant species, size, season, weather conditions, destination, and shipping method.

Our team may adjust packing materials and methods when necessary to help protect plants during transportation.

Please note that live plants may experience temporary stress, minor leaf damage, leaf loss, discoloration, or other cosmetic changes during transportation, particularly following international shipment. These conditions do not necessarily indicate that a plant is unhealthy or non-viable.

10. Shipping Delays

While we make every reasonable effort to follow the estimated shipping schedule, delays may occur due to circumstances outside our control, including:

  • USDA or customs inspections

  • Regulatory or documentation processing

  • Airline or cargo schedule changes

  • Severe weather

  • Carrier delays

  • Holidays

  • Unexpected import or transportation disruptions

Estimated shipping, arrival, and delivery dates are not guaranteed delivery dates.

If a significant delay occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to provide customers with updated information.
