Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about our plants, Fresh Import orders, shipping, payments, and plant care.

About Our Plants

Where do your plants come from?

Our plants are sourced primarily from trusted growers and partners in Indonesia and are offered as either Ready in USA or Fresh Import.

What is the difference between Ready in USA and Fresh Import?

Ready in USA plants are already in New Jersey and ready for domestic shipping.

Fresh Import plants are shipped from Indonesia through our scheduled import shipments, then repacked in New Jersey before domestic delivery.

Will I receive the exact plant shown in the photo?

If the product is marked Exact Plant or Real Picture, you will receive the plant shown.

For representative photos, the plant may vary slightly in size, leaf count, coloration, variegation, and maturity.

Is it safe to ship live plants?

Yes. We carefully prepare and pack our plants for transit. However, because plants are living products, some temporary shipping stress may occur.

Fresh Import

What does “Fresh Import” mean?

Fresh Import plants are shipped from Indonesia to our New Jersey facility. After completing the required import and inspection process, they are repacked and shipped domestically to you.

Do I need an import permit or paperwork?

No. We handle the standard import process and required documentation for Fresh Import orders purchased through Plantstop.us.

How often do you import plants?

Typically twice a month. Check our website for the latest order cutoff and estimated import schedule.

How long does the Fresh Import process take?

Fresh Import orders follow the schedule shown on our website. After arrival and inspection in the U.S., please allow approximately 3–5 days for processing and repacking before domestic shipment.

Will I receive tracking while the plants are coming from Indonesia?

Domestic tracking becomes available after the plants arrive in the U.S., are processed in New Jersey, and are ready for shipment to you.

Do Fresh Import plants need acclimation?

Yes. International transit can temporarily stress live plants, so they may need some time to recover and adjust to their new environment.

Plant Care

What should I do when my plant arrives ?

Unpack your plant as soon as possible and inspect its condition. Place it in a stable environment with appropriate humidity and indirect light while it recovers from shipping.

Is yellowing or leaf loss normal after shipping ?

Some drooping, yellowing, dehydration, minor leaf loss, or cosmetic damage can occur after shipping, especially with Fresh Import plants.

How should I acclimate a Fresh Import plant ?

Keep the plant in a stable environment with good humidity, indirect light, and careful watering. Give it time to recover before making major changes to its growing conditions.

Should I repot immediately ?

In most cases, allow the plant some time to adjust first. However, always check the condition of the roots and plant and act accordingly if intervention is necessary.

What if my plant looks stressed?

Give it a stable environment and time to recover. Avoid overwatering, strong direct sunlight, or making several major changes at once.
